Personal Bio

John.Michael.Hinton learned his first coin trick from his father at the age of four.  Over time, John’s interest in astonishment was combined with his carefree, energetic style and his innate ability to entertain and make people laugh.  He knows how to captivate an audience, holding their attention to the last beat in his show.

John.Michael.Hinton grew up all over the world.  Through his childhood he lived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  When he was in 3rd grade, his family survived the first Gulf War, having a Scud Missile land less than a mile from their house. High School found John back in the USA ,where he then found his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He quickly discovered a passion to share with others God’s transforming message.  College found him pursuing fulltime ministry at Simpson University, in Redding, CA, where he learned how best to communicate the good news he cannot shut up about.

Using mental illusions and slight of hand as tools to passionately communicate the Gospel both from the stage and walking around amongst your group; his energetic antics and mesmerizing mentalism will cause both your students and leaders to question their eyes and ears.  From there, John shares what real truth is, and “Who” is real truth.

He has been performing and entertaining audiences all over the world for over fifteen years and is member of the exclusive, World Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. Currently, he resides in Central California with his beautiful wife and daughter as a Youth Pastor of both High School and Jr. High students.

McGehee was a finalist in the NBC Laugh Factory Latino/Asian-American Comedy Showcase and in the 2002 Orange County’s Funniest Person Contest where he went on to win in 2003. McGehee has also appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing 2 as a finalist. He recently filmed a commercial for the international transportation company DHL that is airing nationally.

McGehee has made guest television appearances including, The Joni Lamb Show on DayStar, JCTV, NBC, ABC Family, Si TV, Comedy Central, TBN and TLN promoting his innovative Clean Comedy. He’s done warm up comedy for Comedy Central and Carlos Oscar’s Comedy Central special that is released on Time Warner Video and in stores nationally. McGehee has confirmed an unnamed comedy pilot with CBS producers to write as well as appear on the show. He has also written for The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn, The Carson Daily Show,Jimmy Kimmel, Spec scripts for Scrubs and My Name Is Earl. He wrote an original feature treatment, comedy, Valhallapalooza, feature first draft comedyWhitewashed, original feature treatment drama ThePathFinder, and original animated series treatment The Adventures of Cap’N'Cuinno and Express-O-Lad. McGehee and wife comedienne Kerri Pomarolli appeared on the Oxygen Network’s hit reality show, Tori and Dean: Inn Love.

McGehee starred and co-produced a pilot, along with Eastgate Productions. The pilot, www.ilovekerri.tv, demonstrates both McGehee and Pomarolli’s comedic ability to interact as they take on the task of home improvement. As you will see, their complete lack of skills is down right comical. I Love Kerri premiered on Sky Angel Two June 23, 2007.

Along with furthering his comedy, writing and acting career he has produced The Family Comedy Countdown, a national syndicated radio program. He is also producing his own clean comedy Non Toxic Comedy show at top venues throughout the United States.

Ron McGehee has made a name for himself in the corporate market with companies such as City of Hope, AB-FAB Motors, Angelus Film Awards (Hollywood), Toyota, Hyundai, Ontario Mills, Kolon International, Hanjin Shipping, Cisco and others. Inspiration from an online video clip…. purpose for some comic relief in a church Christmas show…. Dave purchased 10 standard bicycle horns from the bike aisle (Wal-mart). He cut them all in half, fussed with the reeds, found some vinyl tube length (Home Depot), and made a scientific chart to achieve one major scale….plus a few blue notes.

Dave added some straps, zip ties, eyelets, key rings, fasteners, hose clamps, and bands to hold the horns in place. Arm pits, knee pits, neck pit, elbow pits, back, shins, chest, thighs, and more. All ready to go, this honky put together a kickin’ version of Jingle Bells that provided an adrenaline rush of amazement and laughs.

It was at Dave’s previous job, as a church music director, that he was provided the creative laboratory to make this happen. Dave has sinced moved from California to Colorado with his wife and four kids where he honks full time…. who would’ve thought?
